Green Champions Field Trip: Unveiling the Hidden World Beneath Our Feet
1 April 2025
On 13th March, the Green Champions held their quarterly meeting at Somerset House, followed by a visit to the Soil exhibition. The exhibition opened the wonders of the earth beneath our feet, offering a deep dive into the hidden world of soil and its vital role in supporting biodiversity. The displays expertly showcased a living ecosystem crucial to the health of our planet.

Prior to the visit, the team defined the Green Champions initiative around three values: Collaboration, Growth, and Knowledge – principles that guide our sustainability efforts across the group. The exhibition communicates both the challenges facing soil health and practical possibilities for positive change – ideas we’re incorporating into our sustainability practices.

As Green Champions, we constantly strive to expand knowledge and connect the dots between local actions and the larger environmental picture. This visit sparked new ideas about how we can enhance our gardens to promote biodiversity and encourage healthier, more sustainable ecosystems.
