4C Group Secures Approval for Student Housing at Jamestown Road

9 June 2025

4C Group, in partnership with Regal, is delighted to announce that we have secured planning approval from the London Borough of Camden for the redevelopment of 33–35 Jamestown Road and 211 Arlington Road.

PC: Secchi Smith

This approved and ambitious scheme will deliver 178 high-quality, purpose-built student bedrooms and 27 affordable homes, alongside flexible commercial space, extensive green infrastructure, and a design that draws on the distinctive architectural character of Camden.

Designed by Morris+Company, the six-storey development has been sensitively designed around the existing historic pub, which will be retained and celebrated as a local landmark. Our vision enhances the public realm, introducing active frontages and generous public spaces to strengthen the vibrancy and character of Camden Town.

The development also includes over 3,600 square feet of flexible commercial space with active street frontages and views into the landscaped courtyard, specifically designed to attract and support local businesses and contribute to the area’s long-term vitality.

Beyond the homes themselves, the scheme unlocks a vibrant new public space featuring multifunctional green areas, children’s play space, seating, and tree planting.
