Championing Responsible Business: Meet Our New Cohort

22 July 2026

4C Group is delighted to welcome the newest cohort to our award-winning Green Champions Programme following the Green Champions Induction Day, held on 16 July 2026, which began at Comfort Inn London – Edgware Road. Now entering its fourth year, the programme continues to empower team members from across our hotels to champion responsible business practices, lead sustainability initiatives and inspire positive environmental change throughout the organisation.

We are delighted to welcome our newest Green Champions and look forward to supporting them as they begin their journey:

Jekaterina Kolopencik, Green Champion Lead – The Westin London City

Kasia Drozdz, Green Champion Junior Specialist – Canopy by Hilton London City

Walter Nulli Amadio, Green Champion – Canopy by Hilton London City

Dev Brahmbhatt, Green Champion – EasyHotel Victoria & Dover

Emanuel Schiopu, Green Champion – Holiday Inn Express St. Albans

Vaishvi Patel, Green Champion – Comfort Inn Victoria

Hashan Opatha, Green Champion – Holiday Inn London Camden Lock

Stefan Dumitriu, Green Champion – The Westin London City

Daniyal Zahoor, Green Champion – Comfort Inn London – Edgware Road

During the induction, the new Green Champions were introduced to 4C Group’s Responsible Business strategy and the key role they will play in supporting our five Responsible Business objectives:

The session also explored the evolution of the Green Champions Programme, which has grown from a grassroots initiative launched in 2023 into a structured career development pathway. Beginning with one Green Champion at each hotel, the programme has expanded to include Green Champion Leads, Specialists and, in 2026, the introduction of our newest tier – Junior Specialists.

The last activity of the day concluded with a guided tour of the Aga Khan Centre in London’s King’s Cross – a centre for education, knowledge and cultural exchange, and one of Central London’s leading examples of sustainable design. The visit offered us an opportunity to experience sustainability in action, demonstrating how environmental responsibility can be embedded into the design, operation and culture of an organisation. The team members also explored the Voices from the Roof of the World exhibition, an award-winning documentary series highlighting the impact of climate change on the people and wildlife of High Mountain Asia, reinforcing the global importance of collective climate action.

Since its launch, the Green Champions Programme has made a significant contribution to 4C Group’s sustainability journey, delivering measurable results while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and environmental responsibility across the organisation.

As the day came to a close, our Green Champions reflected on how sustainable design can positively impact people, communities and the environment. From enhancing biodiversity and wellbeing to improving energy efficiency and preserving cultural heritage, the visit demonstrated how innovation and long-term thinking can create lasting change. Equipped with new knowledge and inspiration, our newest cohort is ready to help drive 4C Group’s Responsible Business ambitions forward.

We wish every member of the new cohort every success and look forward to an impactful year ahead, as they champion sustainability and make a positive difference across the group.
