St Albans Post Box Toppers Are Back for the Third Festive Season

The Holiday Inn Express St Albans team participated in the local Postbox Toppers Fundraiser for the third year in aid of local charities. This year the charities were Open Door and the St Albans Foodbank.
The hotel sponsored toppers on the post boxes closest to the hotel in the village of London Colney, just a few mins walk from the hotel. There were activities planned in a safe and fun environment with social distancing kept in mind – This included finding trails of post boxes for anyone visiting the hotel or the area.
Clare Suttie launched St Albans Postboxes Fundraiser 2020 with the help of the Mayor of the City and District of St Albans. After months of planning and organisation, 50 decorated post boxes were beautifully crafted around the town. Each topper was knitted by volunteers. The local community dedicated their time and expertise which include web designers, map artists, bloggers, photographers, and many others.
This year they managed to raise over £26k which include gift aids.
